BEHIND THE SCENE

The most celebrated 5-day festival of India   "Diwali"   has already arrived and the splendor   can strongly be felt.   All the "Happy and safe Diwali"   wishes are already surrounding our ears.   Why not Holi, Mahashivratri, Eid, New Year's   and other festivals wished to be safe and only Diwali is supposed to be so?   Undoubtedly, we all know the answer. Since years, we have been focusing   and talking about the adverse after-effects of burning crackers on health and environment.   We discuss about the unabated air and noise pollution and the resultant global warming.   Hardly we chew over a few questions like: ·          Where does crackers comes from? ·          Who makes them and how do they make them? Regardless of all the after-effects, crackers do have sabotaging pre-effects too in their making process.   Chemicals used i...

EDUCATION IS FREEDOM

The exclusive difference between a human being and an evolved human being is education.   Education is the root of progress of any state.  Education opens up the gate of opportunities and evolution.  It is a process of inheriting knowledge, skills and values from the learned ones.  This is the reason why schools, colleges and various institutions were established.  These are the places where the versed and more experienced people share and disseminate their knowledge to next generations.  Apart from the formal education, there are various sources of informal education which trains us in socialization.  Erudition has equipped us in knowing, understanding and following the rules of a country and hence, to become an ideal citizen. A more sensible teacher's day

Its said that when few of Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan's friends and students requested him to celebrate his birthday , he replied that "if you really want to celebrate this day , celebrate it as a teacher's day".  His this statement proves his dedication and devotion towards his profession and duty.  Since, then India celebrates Teacher's Day on account of birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan. Many countries like China , Thailand , Iraq, Turkey , etc. also celebrate  a similar day in respect of  teacher's though at unique days of the year. Presently, Teacher's day in our country is celebrated at various schools, institutions and universities. Official teacher's and professors are greeted and honoured.  But when i think deeply a question arises into my mind, are they only the one who teach or its because of this constitution who gives them the credit of being professional teachers. Although what i think is that its not important for a teac...

Reforming the Myth

My India, my Delhi!  Indeed, Delhi is an interesting place with so many historical monuments, types of food, migrants from different parts of country, cultural hub, educational core, etc.  That’s my country’s capital, a metropolitan city.  I love watching pigeons here.  Chronologically mentioning, Delhi was initially popular for Mughal rule, next for being the national capital, then for being established as an exemplary blend of cultures and education, and gradually forming a vicious circle of population and pollution. In present times, it is prevalently known for being wicked and precarious, portraying a big question mark regarding the safety of Delhiti girls and women.  Not just the fear of being alone, but being with family and friends also makes us reluctant at times, dreading something inconvenient would happen.  So many rules and still no discipline, so many help lines and still no security.  Whenever you step out, there in crowds, that...
