EDUCATION IS FREEDOM

The exclusive difference between a human being and an evolved human being is education.

Education is the root of progress of any state.  Education opens up the gate of opportunities and evolution.  It is a process of inheriting knowledge, skills and values from the learned ones.  This is the reason why schools, colleges and various institutions were established.  These are the places where the versed and more experienced people share and disseminate their knowledge to next generations.  Apart from the formal education, there are various sources of informal education which trains us in socialization.  Erudition has equipped us in knowing, understanding and following the rules of a country and hence, to become an ideal citizen.

On the contrary, illiteracy leads to captivation in your own assumptions, thoughts, superstitions and beliefs.  You believe what others believe and do what you see others doing (especially your elders), without even having a second thought before.  There’s an inherited commonality being dragged.
Education has helped us live a pragmatic life instead of an impractical one.  It lifts our souls, enhances our intellectual thinking capabilities, inventive and creative skills, instigate us to find scientific and reasonable approaches to problems.  Education can free our thoughts and let us think out of the box.  While for many, education has become accessible, but for millions it’s still a struggle.  This struggle is not just to acquire education but also to redefine themselves as active citizens of society. Those who have strong persistence, dog it on a shoestring.

But is it true, are we really evolving?  Or maybe we are just representing an evolution century.  Despite acquiring knowledge, when one can’t behave like one, then what is the gain.  People are forgetting manners, way to talk and behave.  The initial motive of knowledge was to be socially acceptable and compatible.  And if that key goal isn’t being achieved, then probably we’re deviating from our destiny.  People let the feeling of being superior dominate all other feelings and affection.  Does knowledge only means a way of improving your economical strata, and is it not a duty to be socially helpful and kind?  Apart from seeking education, important is the feeling of gratefulness and compassion to nature, society and all other sources of learning.  Being a mentor is equally vital, as being a seeker is.  Do not treasure your knowledge,  because it multiplies only when it is divided.
